LITHIUM

Our products Lithium

Lithium is found in two minerals: lepidolite [K(Li,Al)3(Si,Al)4O10(F,OH)2] and spodumene [LiAlSi2O6]. The first is a pink phyllosilicate and spodumene is a pyroxene of the inosilicate group. These two minerals are Li ore in the Alberta II Research Permit, located in the Ourense province. The mineralized body in this permit is a pegmatite complex that reaches approximately 350 m wide and more than 11 km long, which is hosted by green albite schists with staurolite and/or garnet, and which is considered to be genetically related to the regional granites.

We are currently carrying out an exhaustive characterization of these pegmatite bodies and their related mineralization, containing not only Li but also Nb and Ta.
