Strategic Minerals Spain has participated today in the II Women and Mining Symposium which was held in Santiago de Compostela with the Director of Legal, People and Institutional Relations Area, Elena Terrón. She took part in the round table about women in the mining sector and shared her professional experience, talking about the main challenges to be tackled by the sector.

She pointed out during her speech that these challenges include increasing the number of women in mining companies; making field work more attractive; encouraging careers associated with mining; reinforcing work flexibility related to work-life balance and making the attractiveness of living in small environments more visible.

The total percentage of women in the company is 22.22% divided between the following profiles: 33.33% of management; 80% of administration; 40% of technicians; and 12.50% of production.
